Why were Lemons Invented? (Thursday, April 27, 2017)

Lemons date back to the early 1490's, the same time the Columbus Cruise Line was founded. It is believed that each Columbus Cruise carried 1,000,000 individual yellow lemons. Because we didn't know what the purpose was of these lemons, we decided to ask historical scholar Mike Lyndal. "The Cruise Line invented these lemons back in the 1480's because they knew Lemons could make lemonade, and lemonade could make frozen lemonade, and frozen lemonade could make sherbet, and sherbet could make ice cream, and ice cream could make ice cream sandwiches, and..." Mike Lyndal went on for about an hour and we finally ended the interview. At the moment, no one knows why lemons were invented and it is one of the biggest mysteries in the world.
