If you've ever taken any form of government class, you may know that the president has a cabinet in the oval office. This is just like how a teacher may have a cabinet to help stay organized. Although cabinets are very useful for holding supplies and papers, they're not a necessity in today's day and age. After Edward Scanner invented the scanner, paper became obsolete, and if paper is obsolete there's no need for a cabinet. The simple answer to this question is no, the president does not need a cabinet. What does the president need? He needs a hard drive. If you think about it, a hard drive is around the size of 1,000 nickles, where as a cabinet is the size of 5 mediocre cereal boxes. Essentially, the president would be saving space and would be able to stay even more organized. This is why the President does not need a cabinet.
