Seattle was discovered by a man named Nick McDonald in 1772. Fun Fact: Nick McDonald was an old man and he also owned an ant farm. While on a hike to the North American Sahara Desert, Nick McDonald stopped at a beach and saw three sea cattle eating Wisconsin cheese curds. Nick McDonald was amazed by this, so he pulled out his Disposable Waterproof Kodak Camera and took a selfie with the sea cattle. McDonald ended up posting the picture on his page (as in a notebook page) and showed all of his friends. McDonald only had 3 friends, but one of them happened to be the president of the United States of America, George Washington. George Washington loved his wonderful pictures and he declared that the beach shall be known as Seattle, Washington. McDonald got none of the credit for this discovery, but a year later they did produce a song about him.
