Music is amazing, but is also confusing, and identifying the styles of music can be a frustrating experience. That's why I, Tyler Johnson, have composed this Quick Guide for Identifying Styles of Music.
ROCK N' ROLL: Generally this is Rock Music but just with a different name
CLASSIC ROCK: Generally this is Rock Music that's always a classic
HARD ROCK: This form of Rock Music that involves lots of yelling and random guitar solos throughout the song
PROGRESSIVE ROCK: This kind of Music involves high levels of skills and random assortments of instruments to the style of Rock
ALTERNATIVE ROCK: If you hate Rock Music, you might like Alternative Rock
FUNK: Any song that sounds funky
DISCO: This style involves lots of trumpets, boring drum set parts and lots of repetition
HARD DISCO: This form of music is still considered Disco but almost sounds like Rock Music
CLASSIC DISCO: Basically Disco Music that's always a classic
R&B: A form of blues that just sounds "different"
BLUES: Every song consists of saxophone and piano with some guitar in the background
SOUL MUSIC: Not sure if this is even a style of music
JAZZ: Every musician says this is the hardest style of music but yet it's really boring
CLASSICAL: Music that never involves any percussion or electronics
POP: Consists of really repetitive songs that everyone used to like
RAP: Some people call this talking, others call it Rap
HEAVY METAL: Hard Rock music, but played even louder and with even more yelling and more guitar solos
PROGRESSIVE METAL: This form of Metal is a little easier on the ears and takes a little bit of talent to play
DEATH METAL: Sometimes people say this isn't music because it consists of constant screaming
SOUND TRACK: Any song that was featured in a movie is considered a Sound Track
COUNTRY: Each song sounds the same and can put you to sleep in a second
