Every year, people around the U.S are forced to change there clocks two times a year, but no one knows why. Today, Fun Facts with Tyler has solved the mystery of day light savings. It was 1834 in Rhode Island when a man named George Gorge discovered a way to save sunlight. He knew that someday the sun would one day explode, turning into a black hole, and destroying the entire universe if we didn't do anything. To solve this, Congress passed a law requiring that once a year, for 6 months, we must save day light. But Arizona didn't like this new law and they decided not to follow it. In 1860, An Arizona Congressman came up with Day Light Spendings, which was huge success, in Arizona, and only Arizona. Day Light Spendings never accomplished anything, but it just sounded like a good idea. To this day, most states observe daylight savings, not because we want to save the sun, but because we like sleep.
