It was 1972, and a kid named Dan. Now Dan was an ordinary teenager who worked a part time job as a Delivery Man and lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dan treated everyone with kindness and was even quite popular. But there was one thing Dan despised of, haircuts. It had been at more than a week since his last Hair Appointment, and according to his parents, he was in great need of a haircut. But Because Dan did not like haircuts he refused to cut his hair. Within two weeks his hair had grown by 3 feet and a quarter inch. Teachers were greatly antagonized by Dan and his lack of haircuts and sometimes believed he had a mole on his head, thus calling his hair a Mullet. Because of Dan's popularity, Dan's peers likewise refused to get haircuts and grew Mullets as well. By the end of the year every student in Albuquerque, New Mexico had a Mullet, and by 1975 it became an official hair style recognized by The Board of Hairstyles and Hair Products.
