Over the last 50 years, historians have been trying to find the origins of the meme. But on this very day, Fun Facts with Tyler discovered the first meme, which dates back to 1422. This meme was found in an Australian Limited Edition Times Weekday Newspaper. The meme consisted of a roasted chicken with the words "Roasted" in big bold white letters above the image, but not fully above the image because it was still on the image itself. Who made this meme? It was created by a women named Sarah Sally Caroline. Sarah Sally Caroline was working on an article titled "Roasted", but she didn't have room for a picture. To fix this, she put the image behind the title which created the "meme". When the owner of the Australian Limited Edition Times Weekday Newspaper Company saw the "picture", he asked everyone who did this. Sarah Sally Caroline yelled "ME ME!" and from that day it was known as the "meme".
