Recently we learned how Christmas Lights were invented, but we forgot to talk about The Christmas Tree. It was November 4, 1734, when a man named John Smith went for a hike in the Application Mountains. During his hike, he found a beautiful pine tree. In fact, it was so beautiful, he couldn't let nature have it. So he cut the tree down and brought it back to a town called James Town. Some time later, a man named James Jamestown (inventor of Christmas Lights) saw the tree and decided to decorate the tree with his Signature Christmas Lights. When John Smith saw his decorated tree he called it a Christmas Tree. The next day a business man named May Mayflower stole John's idea and he bought The Christmas Tree Patent at a farmers market in San Francisco. Because May Mayflower also owned the patent for Christmas Lights, he decided that Christmas Trees would only be sold with Christmas Lights.
