Without light, where would we be. The answer is, in total darkness. Light provides us with lots of advantages, such as the TV, Phone, and the Fun Facts with Tyler Webpage! However, a study in 2014 shows that there's more to our light spectrum. Here's a list of different colors of light and information about them:
PRIMARY COLORS OF LIGHT:
RED: This color allows water to evaporate faster. This is why most heating lamps are red
GREEN: The light of green is the only color to have a smell. The darker the green, the stronger the smell. Usually you can smell it reflecting off of trees
BLUE: This light is most commonly found from TV shows. Some also believe this light may help your vision
SECONDARY COLORS OF LIGHT:
YELLOW: Contains high amounts of Vitamin D and can be found from sunlight
MAGENTA: Certain tones of Magenta contain low amounts of Calcium
CYAN: This light can cause your skin to temporarily wrinkle, but only when reflected. At the swimming pool, your skin wrinkles because cyan light is being reflected from the pool
OTHER COLORS:
ORANGE: This color has been found to attract deer, which is why deer hunters always wear orange
PURPLE: Small amounts of potassium have been found from purple light. This is why you should not eat bananas after playing laser tag (laser tag typically has lots of purple light)
