It was the year 1923, the same year of the industrial revolution, when two major companies controlled the tape industry. Those two companies were Duct Tape and Duck Tape. American's began to divide as some believed Duck Tape didn't exist, or that Duct Tape didn't exist. On October 21, 1923, Duct Tape attacked the Duck Tape headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After the attack, Duck Tape struck back and melted all of Duct Tape's Duct Tape. This caused Duct Tape to declare war on Duck Tape. The war lasted for 2 days and people forgot what side they were on. There was no clear winner because no one knew who they were fighting. Eventually, Duck Tape and Duct Tape signed a treaty ending the war, but to this day there is still a debate over which tape is better.
